RMRC: MULTILIFE- Privacy Policy

The MultiLife App is developed by the Indian Council of Medical Research – Regional Medical Research Centre (ICMR-RMRC), Bhubaneswar under the project “Effectiveness of a lifestyle toolkit in improving health outcomes in individuals with cardiometabolic multimorbidity and its intergenerational prevention: a cluster randomized controlled trial.”

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect user data.

1. Data Collection and Use:
The app collects basic demographic information, self-reported lifestyle data (such as diet, physical activity, tobacco/alcohol use), and biometric parameters (e.g., blood pressure, blood glucose) for research and health education purposes. The data are collected only with informed consent and are used exclusively for research and health improvement activities under ICMR protocols.

2. Data Sharing:
Apart from the research team, user data are shared with the application development partner (Developer) under agreement with ICMR-RMRC except as required by law or as part of de-identified aggregate research outputs.

3. Security Measures:
Data are encrypted during transmission and storage. Access is restricted to authorized personnel only, following institutional data protection standards.

4. Data Retention and Deletion:
Data will be retained securely for the duration of the study and for regulatory compliance. Upon study completion or withdrawal of consent, user data will be anonymized or deleted as per institutional policy.
